FAQ

WHAT SHOULD MY DANCER WEAR?

While your dancer is just trying out the class to see if they enjoy it we don’t insist on any specific uniform. Just loose clothing the are comfortable moving around in, so leggings/joggies and a t shirt are perfect! We do ask that they don’t come in jeans or dresses as these can restrict movement. And on your dancers feet; just some trainers will be great!

DO THEY NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?

Definitely send them along with some water! We like to stay nice and hydrated so this is a must (no fizzy juice please). While there is plenty of hand sanitiser in classes you are welcome to send them with this too.

For little dancers below the age of 7, try to send them with as little as possible, so no teddies/dolls/coin purses as these can distract from the class and sometimes left behind too.

CAN I COME IN WITH MY DANCER?

Unfortunately we don’t allow parents to stay on a regular basis. This can cause a distraction, not only for your own dancer, but for other dancers in the class too. However we have parent share days throughout the year where you are invited in to watch, or in the case of our preschool dancers – you get to join in the fun!

There are waiting areas around classes however where you are welcome to wait for your dancers to be released from class.

BUT MY CHILD IS VERY SHY?

Don’t worry, we have been welcoming thousands of dancers over the last 14 years of teaching and we are very well experienced with shy children. We are a warm, welcoming, and friendly school, and sometimes even distracting if need be! We also have a buddy system, so no dancer leaves their first class without making a friend. We would never push a child to do anything they are not ready for, so don’t worry needlessly. And if we are confident in welcoming them, and you are confident in leaving them, your shy dancer will be a little more relaxed about staying in this new situation because we are modelling it!

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER OUR TRIAL?

When your dancer has completed their trial, you will be sent and email inviting you to book them in for the remainder of the block. This email has a booking button and super simple to reserve their space for the term.
